Museums Worcestershire launches new family play resources

Museums Worcestershire has launched new resources designed to enhance family visits through play and sensory exploration. The initiative includes site-specific play guides and dedicated webpages to assist families in planning visits to The Commandery and the Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum.

Visitors can collect free play guides that offer child-led prompts, such as discovering shapes in Victorian architecture or observing birdsong in walled gardens. These guides also feature original drawings for children to color. The museums provide accessible facilities, including step-free access, baby-change stations, and family-friendly cafes.

Additionally, Worcestershire offers various seasonal activities for the October 2026 half term and Halloween, including pumpkin picking and spooky trails at locations such as Attwell Farm Park and All Things Wild.
