Museus como Espaços que Educam opens new headquarters in São Luís

The collective Museus como Espaços que Educam is opening a new headquarters in the Historic Center of São Luís, Maranhão. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for August 28 at the Galeria Trapiche.

The new space will join the state's network of Pontos de Cultura, officially recognizing the group's work at the intersection of museums, education, and community participation. The initiative aims to transform cultural sites into active territories for critical training and shared memory rather than just repositories for collections. The headquarters will host workshops, mediated visits, and research projects to serve educators, cultural managers, and local residents.
