Music bursaries announced for professionals in Ireland and Northern Ireland

Arts funding opportunities have been announced for music professionals in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The award is intended to support artistic development, such as recording albums, attending masterclasses, or composing. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, not in full-time education, and must demonstrate a sustained, serious practice with a track record of public engagement.

In Northern Ireland, the Arts Council is providing up to three bursaries to support musicians, managers, and agents attending WOMEX 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. Each £800 bursary is designed to assist with registration, flights, and accommodation. Applicants must reside in Northern Ireland and demonstrate a track record of international touring and potential career benefits from the event. The application deadline is midday on August 27, 2026.
