Music festivals and live performances announced in Salzburg and Potsdam

The Jazz & The City Sounds festival is set to begin in the old town of Salzburg. Under the motto ‘True Moments’, the four-day event features approximately 60 concerts across 20 locations. Around 140 artists performing genres including jazz, folk, world music, classical, and electronic crossover will participate. The festival aims to provide live, authentic musical encounters in an urban setting, with admission remaining free to the public.

In Potsdam, Detroit techno pioneer Jeff Mills will perform his ‘Metropolis Metropolis’ soundtrack live to Fritz Lang’s silent film classic at Nikolaisaal Potsdam on November 8, 2026. Part of the ‘NikoGrooves Reloaded’ electronic music weekend, the performance utilizes a live ‘Cinemix’ format to create an audiovisual experience combining the restored film with Mills’ symphonic electronic compositions.
