Music festivals announced for Guadix and Los Silos

Spain is hosting two distinct musical events: the inaugural Mombasa Festival in Guadix and the 19th edition of Festival Boreal in Los Silos, Tenerife.

The Mombasa Festival will take place on May 22 and 23 in Guadix, Granada. The event features an eclectic lineup including flamenco, pop-rock, indie, and reggaeton. Confirmed performers include local artists such as Bonachera and Toto Aparicio, alongside groups like Los Tocayos, Los Vinilos, and Bonobo, with a notable appearance by Miguel Sáez.

Festival Boreal will be held from September 16 to 20 in the historic center of Los Silos. The festival emphasizes a human-scale approach, integrating music, art, and sustainability within the rural community. The musical program includes approximately twenty international acts spanning African, Caribbean, Latin American, electronic, and alternative genres, featuring artists such as BCUC, Hempress Sativa, and the Canarian folk-inspired project Jable.
