Music festivals announced in Žilina and Holešov

The Konvergencie chamber music festival is returning to the New Synagogue in Žilina on November 5 and 6. The event features prominent musicians including Iva Bittová, Robert Roth, Nina Kohout, and Jozef Lupták. A central theme of this year's festival is the jubilee of composer Vladimír Godár.

Program highlights include the project ‘Súznenie’, an improvisational performance by Iva Bittová, Jozef Lupták, Boris Lenko, and Branislav Dugovič. Additionally, a quartet will perform Olivier Messiaen’s ‘Quatuor pour la fin du temps’, a significant 20th-century work composed during World War II.

In the Czech Republic, the Holešovská Regata festival has released its program for its 15th anniversary, scheduled for June 18 and 19, 2027, at the Holešov Castle gardens. The lineup includes Lucie Bílá and Richard Müller, marking their first appearances at the event, alongside artists such as Adam Ďurica and Vypsaná fiXa. The festival, themed ‘Roztančená’, will feature a dance tent, a boat competition, and talk shows.
