Music festivals scheduled for Korbach and Gelsenkirchen

Upcoming music festivals in Germany feature diverse lineups ranging from folk and blues to medieval rock.

In Korbach, the Hansefestival will take place on September 5 and 6, transforming the city center into an open-air stage with approximately 20 bands and solo artists. Featured performers include Irish folk singer Sonny Casey, one-man band Just Tony, the Italian trio Mo'zaiko, and the Berlin-based acoustic duo Scott & Lila.

Meanwhile, the fourth Folkfield Festival is scheduled for September 11 and 12 at the amphitheater in Gelsenkirchen. Hosted by the band Schandmaul, the event focuses on folk, medieval, and rock music. The lineup includes headliners Schandmaul, along with Fiddler’s Green, Subway To Sally, Wind Rose, Rauhbein, Doppelbock, Irdorath, and Deus Vult. The festival will also feature a medieval market.
