Music festivals to highlight John Dowland in 2026

The year 2026 is set to feature significant musical celebrations, including the 400th anniversary of the death of English Renaissance composer John Dowland.

To mark this occasion, the Festival de Pontoise will host a diverse program focused on vocal music, aiming to rediscover and interpret his works. Artistic director Pascal Bertin noted that the festival intends to create a dialogue between historical figures and contemporary artists to enrich the audience experience.
