Music festivals Unplugged and Zest Fest announce upcoming lineups

The Unplugged music festival in Harare is returning this August with a lineup focused on local Zimbabwean talent. Headlined by Takura and Shona Prince, the event will feature a live band performance of the “King of R&B” discography. Other performers include Tamy Moyo, Sylent Nqo, Tahle We Dzinza, and The Travellers Band, with DJ sets by Reverb7, Pretty Gangsta, and DJ RSK. Now managed by King Kandoro, the festival also includes “The Next Superstar” initiative, featuring rising artist Delight Hungwe.

In Australia, the third edition of Zest Fest has announced its lineup and venue adjustments. ARIA award-winning band Sneaky Sound System will headline the free event on November 14 at Robertson Park in Orange. The main stage will also host The Buoys, Tyne-James Organ, and Fvneral. To improve festival flow, the Live and Local stage has been relocated from Byng Street to McNamara Street, just outside Legacy House, to allow attendees to access both stages more easily.
