Music industry developments in Colombia: La Oreja de Van Gogh tour and new record label launch
Spanish pop group La Oreja de Van Gogh has announced their return to Colombia with the original lineup featuring Amaia Montero. As part of their 30th-anniversary 'Tantas Cosas que Contar' tour, the band is scheduled to perform at the Movistar Arena in Bogotá on March 12, 2027.
Tickets for the event went on sale on August 1 and sold out quickly, leading to anticipation for a potential second date. The tour aims to celebrate the band's long career with hits such as 'Rosas' and 'La Playa'.
In separate music industry news, the new record label 'La S Doble A Records' (Sabiduría, Arte y Amor) has officially launched in Bogotá. Led by CEO Andrea Ramírez Saavedra and musical director Amador Padilla, the label intends to support both emerging and established artists.
The label's strategy includes innovative formats like 'Musinovela'—a digital content concept combining music and audiovisual storytelling—and musical camps for talent development. The company plans to expand into Peru, Argentina, Ecuador, and Mexico by 2027.
