Music industry updates: Power pop compilation and Rebels Opera debut

Rhino Records released 'Poptopia! Power Pop Classics Of The '90s', a compilation documenting the evolution of the power pop genre. The tracks include artists such as Matthew Sweet, Jellyfish, and The Lemonheads.

In Nashville, the hard rock band Rebels Opera is set to release their debut album, 'Call Of The Night'. Produced by Anthony Focx and featuring contributions from mentor Tuk Smith, the album includes ten tracks. The band's sound is described as being influenced by 1980s rock acts such as Def Leppard and Kix.
