Music legacies of Paul McCartney and Rajko Dujmić explored

Paul McCartney has reflected on the emotional difficulty of listening to his 1971 song ‘Dear Friend,’ written for John Lennon. Featured on the first Wings studio album, ‘Wild Life,’ the track served as an olive branch to Lennon following the breakup of The Beatles. While McCartney’s early solo work often contained sharp criticisms of his former bandmate, this song represented an attempt to mend their relationship.

In Croatia, the musical legacy of composer and producer Rajko Dujmić is being highlighted. Dujmić, known for his significant work with Novi fosili, achieved massive commercial success, including diamond-selling albums and the 1989 Eurovision victory with the song ‘Rock me.’ Dujmić described music as his sanctuary from the world, stating, ‘The only place in the world where I can hide from all the roughness, injustice and stupidity is music.’
