Music producer Ralph Siegel hospitalized again

Renowned music producer and composer Ralph Siegel has been readmitted to the hospital. The 81-year-old, a prominent figure in the Schlager music industry, was previously hospitalized in July 2026 for severe pneumonia, which required him to be placed in an induced coma for 18 days.

While initial reports suggested Siegel might be in a coma again, his office manager, Walter Wicha, clarified to RTL that while the producer is indeed back in the hospital, he is not in a coma and is breathing independently. Siegel’s daughter, Alana, also confirmed via social media that he is not in a coma. The specific reason for this latest hospitalization has not yet been disclosed.
