Music teacher arrested for sexual abuse in Samambaia studio

Ozéas Leite Camelo, a 49-year-old music teacher in Samambaia, Distrito Federal, has been arrested by the Civil Police on suspicion of committing sexual abuse against his students. The arrest took place on Monday, August 24, while Camelo was conducting a music lesson for a child.

Investigations conducted by the 32nd Police Station indicate that Camelo used his position of trust to isolate female students in rehearsal rooms. Under the guise of teaching breathing and posture exercises, he allegedly transitioned from inappropriate physical contact to sexual violence and harassment. One particularly severe case involved a 16-year-old girl who was subjected to repeated rape and psychological terror.

Authorities also discovered that Camelo used hidden recording equipment to film students in intimate situations without their consent. Forensic evidence confirmed the existence of these recordings, which helped identify additional victims. Camelo has been indicted for multiple crimes, including rape, sexual harassment, and unauthorized recording of intimate images.
