Music Theatre International acquires Back to the Future: The Musical

Music Theatre International (MTI) has announced the acquisition of the award-winning stage production, ‘Back to the Future: The Musical’. Adapted from the Universal/Amblin film by creators Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis, the musical features original music by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard.

The production has been seen by over 5 million people and previously premiered at the Manchester Opera House before transferring to the West End. It earned several accolades, including Best New Musical at the Olivier, Whats On Stage, and BroadwayWorld Awards, and received two nominations at the 77th Tony Awards.

MTI President and CEO Drew Cohen stated that the show is suitable for various performance levels, ranging from schools and community theaters to professional companies.
