Music updates: Rita Redshoes and Rachel Chinouriri release new works

Portuguese artist Rita Redshoes has released her new album, ‘Fala’, which explores themes of motherhood, freedom, and the female experience. The project features songs written by various Portuguese female authors, including Márcia, Mafalda Veiga, and Ana Bacalhau. Redshoes is scheduled to present the work at Casa da Música in Porto on October 24 and at Teatro Maria Matos in Lisbon on October 28. Additionally, she continues a long-standing pedagogical project involving music about balanced nutrition.

British indie-pop singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri has released her second studio album, ‘I Think I Spoke Too Soon’. The album marks a sonic shift from her 2024 debut, featuring increased BPMs and production that reflects themes of loneliness, memory, and self-relationship. The record explores the artist's internal turbulence and her evolving perspective on personal connections and happiness.
