Musical about Édith Piaf to premiere in Rio de Janeiro

The musical ‘PIAF – Eu não me arrependo’ is set to premiere at the Teatro Riachuelo Rio on October 10, running until November 1. Produced by Aventura and directed by Sergio Módena, the production stars Laila Garin in the title role, retracing the life of the legendary French singer Édith Piaf.

The show follows Piaf’s journey from a childhood marked by poverty to her international success, highlighting her involvement with the French Resistance, her personal losses, and her health struggles. The performance features an orchestra directed by Claudia Elizeu and 12 actors, with Garin performing iconic songs such as ‘La Vie en Rose’, ‘Hymne à l’Amour’, and ‘Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien’.

This production marks a reunion for Laila Garin and the Aventura team, following their previous collaboration on ‘Elis, A Musical’. The artistic direction aims to celebrate female strength and the resilience of a woman who overcame significant life challenges.
