Musical competitions announced in Tortosa and Palma

The Posa-li Música a l’Accent songwriting competition has selected eight finalists to represent various Catalan dialects. The finalists include Albino Tena and Rampaire from the Tortosí dialect, alongside artists representing Tarragoní, Pallarès, Mallorquí, Gironí, Alguerès, and Valencià meridional. The final is scheduled for October 24, 2026, in Tortosa, as part of the Posa-hi Tu l’Accent festival, which aims to highlight linguistic diversity through cultural and academic activities.

In Palma, 16 musical projects are competing in the Pop Rock 2026 contest. Semifinal concerts will take place across venues including Club Mutante and La Movida, leading up to the grand final on November 15 at Es Gremi. The winner will receive 3,000 euros and opportunities to perform at major events such as Fira B, with additional prizes and festival access available for top performers.
