Musical concerts for peace organized in Sant’Abbondio and Casorate Sempione

Various musical events themed around peace are being organized in Italy. In Sant’Abbondio, twelve local service clubs, including the Rotary Club Como Baradello and Lions Club Como Lariano, are hosting the “Note di Pace” concert on September 21 to mark International Day of Peace. The event, held at the Basilica of Sant’Abbondio, features a mix of traditional and modern music, including instrumental tango adaptations.

In Casorate Sempione, a symphonic-choral concert is scheduled for September 13 as part of the decennial San Tito Festival. Directed by Marcello Pennuto, the performance will feature the European Philharmonic Orchestra alongside the Corale Polifonica Città Studi and the Bicocca University Choir. The program includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 and Cherubini’s Requiem, centered on the theme “Music is an instrument of peace.”
