Musical performances scheduled in Bergkirchen and Essen

A series of musical events is scheduled to take place in Germany this November. In Bergkirchen, the Hochschule für Musik Detmold will present the “Winterkonzerte” on November 8 at the Bergkirchen Church. The Ventus Trio, featuring students Jihee Hyun, Boyoung Kim, and Jiyeon Lee, will perform works ranging from the Baroque period to Late Romanticism, including compositions by Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, Johann Joachim Quantz, and Franz Joseph Haydn.

In Essen, the Philharmonie Essen is organizing a week of musical outreach from November 2 to November 6, 2026. The Folkwang Trombone Quartet will perform at various social institutions, specifically targeting children and youth. The diverse program spans multiple eras and genres, featuring works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Leonard Bernstein, and contemporary pieces by Taylor Swift and Pharrell Williams. This initiative is supported by the RWE Foundation.
