Musical performances scheduled in Cervignano del Friuli and Formigine

Several musical events are scheduled in Italy. In Cervignano del Friuli, composer Teho Teardo will perform a “Concerto al buio” (concert in the dark) on September 4 at the Casa Zigaina garden. As part of the BORDERLAND | ORIZZONTI 2025 contemporary art festival, the one-hour immersive experience will feature Teardo and cellist Laura Bisceglia. The performance is based on nocturnal environmental recordings from forests along the borders of Italy, Austria, and Slovenia, blending natural sounds with electronic and acoustic elements.

In Formigine, the musical ensemble Spira mirabilis will launch its new season on September 9 with an outdoor performance of Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty” in Piazza Calcagnini. The free concert will feature over sixty musicians performing a specially curated selection of the score designed to evoke the imagery of the ballet through sound. The event aims to engage the local community and provide an accessible orchestral experience in a public space.
