Musical performances scheduled in Cologne and Salzburg

The Rodenkirchener KammerChor und Orchester, in collaboration with the Philharmonischer Chor Köln, will present a concert titled ‘A Requiem of Our Time’ at the Kölner Philharmonie on October 18, 2026. The program features Michael Tippett’s anti-war oratorio ‘A Child of Our Time’ alongside Robert Schumann’s ‘Requiem für Mignon’. The large-scale project involves approximately 200 performers, including soloists Elena Harsányi, Ruth Häde, Stefan Sbonnik, and Konstantin Paganetti, as well as the Onzemble Coeln and the Neue Rheinische Kammerorchester Köln.

In Salzburg, the WØD-WEINBERG-FESTIVAL featured violinist Gidon Kremer performing a selection of works at the Kollegienkirche. The program included Alexander Raskatov’s ‘Dramatic Games’ for solo cello and Ennio Morricone’s ‘Il sogno di un uomo ridicolo’. Kremer performed alongside Katrīna Anna Pelnēna on viola and Magdalēna Ceple on cello, both members of Kremerata Baltica.
