Musical performances scheduled in Madrid and Guayaquil

Various musical performances are scheduled for October 8. In Madrid, Los Mambo Jambo will perform at Sala Gruta 77 in Carabanchel alongside the Madrid-based quartet The Vinegars. The event is part of the 26th-anniversary celebrations for the venue before its upcoming closure. Los Mambo Jambo specializes in a style they call ‘Sonido Jambofónico,’ blending rhythm and blues, surf, jazz, and swing, while The Vinegars focus on Spanish-language swing and R&B from the 1940s and 1950s.

In Guayaquil, the Orquesta Filarmónica Municipal de Guayaquil will host a free concert at Plaza Guayarte titled ‘La Filarmónica Vuelve a su Salsa.’ Directed by Manuel Campos, the performance will feature La Banda Brava and several guest soloists, including Gerald Dayan and Mauro Valero. The event aims to merge symphonic arrangements with salsa rhythms, integrating strings, winds, and percussion with Afro-Latin beats.
