Musical performances scheduled in Mesagne and Cosenza

In Mesagne, pianist Sofia Adinolfi will perform a recital at the Teatro Comunale on October 6 to honor the memory of Giuliano Graniti. The event marks the annual ‘Giuliano Graniti Memorial Day,’ established to recognize the late Pugliese pianist who taught at Middle Georgia State University in the USA.

The recital follows the second edition of the ‘Giuliano Graniti’ Piano Competition, organized by the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole. Adinolfi, the competition winner, will perform a demanding program including four sonatas by Scarlatti.

Separately, in Cosenza, the Orchestra Giovanile Polimnia will present ‘Note d’Autunno’ on October 4 at the Liceo Scientifico Scorza Auditorium. Directed by Damiano Morise, the concert features a diverse repertoire ranging from classical composers like Puccini and Massenet to contemporary influences such as Queen and Lucio Dalla. The performance includes soloists Beatrice Palazzo, Salvatore Scornaienchi, Enza Cristofaro, and Valeria Bastone.
