Musical performances scheduled in Toledo and Valencia

Various musical events are scheduled across Spain, featuring both cinematic and classical repertoires. In Toledo, the Orquesta Sinfónica Contemporánea de España (OSE), directed by Juan Antonio Simarro, will perform ‘Canciones de cine en español’ at the Palacio de Congresos ‘El Greco’ on September 12. The program focuses on songs from Spanish cinema, ranging from classics by Lola Flores and Marisol to contemporary hits from films like ‘Campeones’ and ‘Coco’. The performance is designed as an immersive experience, inviting the audience to sing along with lyrics projected on a large screen.

In Valencia, the Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia has announced a concert cycle running from October to January. The Orquesta Sinfónica del Mediterráneo, under the direction of Juan Antonio Ramírez, will perform at the Ateneo’s theater. The schedule includes a tribute to Richard Clayderman on October 2, Mozart’s ‘Requiem’ on November 6, and Handel’s ‘Messiah’ during the Christmas season. The cycle will conclude with the eighth edition of the traditional New Year’s Concert.
