Musical theatre productions expand presence across Spain

Major musical productions are expanding their presence across Spain. In Madrid, the second season of ‘Les Misérables’ has launched at Teatro Apolo. Produced by ATG Entertainment in partnership with Cameron Mackintosh’s production company, the show is a faithful Spanish-language replica of the West End production. It enters its new season having already attracted over 250,000 spectators and earning 14 awards, including Talía and Broadway World honors.

Additionally, the musical ‘The Book of Mormon’ is scheduled to perform at Teatro Colón in A Coruña between February 11 and 14, 2027. Following successful runs in Madrid that drew over 600,000 spectators and 1,000 performances, the production is embarking on its first national tour. Created by Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Robert López, the show has received 17 awards in Spain, including Best Musical honors.
