Musician Barosky receives aid after being found homeless in UK

Ghanaian hiplife musician Isaac Obeng Mensah, known professionally as Barosky, has received assistance after being found homeless in the United Kingdom. The artist, famous for hits such as ‘Rakia’, had been struggling with homelessness and mental health challenges in Manchester.

Kofi Rasta, a member of the Ghanaian diaspora, discovered the musician sleeping in the rain and provided him with housing and work for six months. During this period, concerns were raised regarding Barosky’s mental health and difficulties accessing healthcare due to administrative issues with his documentation.

Following a viral video of the musician’s situation, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland, Sabah Zita Benson, intervened. The High Commissioner traveled to Manchester to meet with Barosky and community leaders to assess his condition and discuss solutions. Barosky has expressed a primary desire to secure a plane ticket to return to Ghana, noting that his passport is currently held by police due to his lack of a fixed address.
