Musician Bluay receives Single de Ouro from Portuguese Minister of Culture

Musician Bluay has been awarded the ‘Single de Ouro’ for his song ‘Voar’ by the Portuguese Minister of Culture, Margarida Balseiro Lopes. The presentation, held in anticipation of World Music Day, took place at the Valentim de Carvalho studios.

Bluay gained significant social media attention following a viral incident where his performance was interrupted during a live broadcast on RFM. The artist stated that the incident, rather than being a setback, “opened doors” by helping him reach a wider audience and share his personal journey. His autobiographical track ‘Voar’ has sold over 12,000 units. Bluay expressed a commitment to using his platform to bridge the gap between people with disabilities and the rest of society.
