Musician Danilo Almeida killed in BR-373 highway accident

A fatal traffic accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday on the BR-373 highway near Imbituva, Brazil. A Jeep Compass collided with the rear of a Mercedes-Benz truck while traveling toward Prudentópolis.

Danilo Almeida, a 30-year-old musician, event producer, and member of the group Tchê Embalos, died at the scene. Almeida was returning from a performance in Ponta Grossa at the time of the crash. His musical partner, who was also in the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

The truck driver was not injured. The accident caused significant traffic disruptions, with congestion reaching approximately three kilometers as emergency teams, police, and forensic experts worked at the site.
