Musician Douglas Santos dies after lightning strike in Brazil

Musician Douglas Santos, known professionally as Manga do Cavaco and a member of the group Samba Entre Amigos, has died following a lightning strike during a family gathering. The incident occurred on Sunday, November 1, and Santos passed away on Monday, November 2, while receiving intensive care at Hospital Santa Marcelina in Sao Paulo.

The lightning strike also claimed the life of his aunt, Maria do Carmo. Several other family members were injured in the event, including the artist's mother, who suffered a fractured ankle, and his young son, Henrique, who was hospitalized with injuries to his head and face.

The Samba Entre Amigos group expressed deep grief on social media, honoring Santos for his joy and faith.
