Musician Nathan Smith dies after collision with tractor in Stoke-on-Trent

Musician Nathan Smith, 45, has died following a collision involving a tractor in Stoke-on-Trent. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning on Shelton New Road in the Cliff Vale area.

Emergency services, including the West Midlands Ambulance Service and Midlands Air Ambulance, responded to the scene around 8:20 AM. Smith was transported to the hospital in critical condition but passed away shortly after arrival. Staffordshire Police reported that the tractor driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Smith was a self-taught bassist known for his work with various local bands, including Big Cash Prizes and MFK. He also co-managed UTC recording studio in Longton. His family described him as an "incredibly talented" musician and an "amazing father."
