Musician Yosniel Rivera to celebrate 20-year career with concert in Pinar del Río

Cuban guitarist and concertist Yosniel Rivera Cabrera will perform ‘Mi guitarra y algo más’ on October 15 at the Teatro José Jacinto Milanés in Pinar del Río to mark his 20th anniversary in the arts.

The concert will feature a repertoire of Cuban and Latin American music, including arrangements of works by international artist John Lennon and national composers Leo Brouwer and Edgardo Martín. Rivera will be joined by Honduran guitarist Marcos González Ávila, Swiss flautist Antepe da Stella, the Coro Polifónico, the Guacachason quintet, and the A tempo ensemble.

In addition to the main performance, Rivera will hold a masterclass and recital at the Pedro Raúl Sánchez Professional Art School to share his teaching experience with students. Rivera, a graduate of the Instituto Superior de Arte, currently directs the Pinar del Río Guitar Orchestra and has held various teaching and jury roles within the national music community.
