Musicians Acústica and Silvio Rodríguez announce performances in Mexico

The musical group Acústica recently performed an intimate concert titled ‘Entre Canciones’ at the Teatro Universitario ‘Cnel. Pedro Torres Ortiz’. Organized by the Universidad de Colima as part of the ‘Sonidos y Silencios’ program, the event featured a repertoire of Mexican and international songs, including works by Juan Luis Guerra, the Gipsy Kings, and the Bee Gees. The group, led by artistic director Rafael Terán, consists of academically trained musicians with diverse backgrounds in jazz, rock, and regional Mexican music.

In a separate announcement, Cuban singer-songwriter and Nueva Trova founder Silvio Rodríguez has scheduled a tour of Mexico for April 2027. His performances will include stops in Monterrey, Guadalajara, Puebla, and Mexico City. Rodríguez will be accompanied by the group Trovarroco and several instrumentalists. Tickets for the tour are set to go on sale starting September 15.
