Musicians DeLaurentis and Cassandra Miller headline upcoming performances in France

Electronic musician DeLaurentis is scheduled to perform at Paloma on October 8 as part of the SON’IA 360 event alongside Douran and YMNK. Her performance features a 360-degree sound experience facilitated by sound engineer Hervé Déjardin, who uses spatialization techniques. DeLaurentis, who comes from a jazz background, utilizes technology such as connected gloves to manipulate her voice through vocoders and harmonizers.

Meanwhile, Canadian-British composer Cassandra Miller is presenting her experimental music at the Festival d’automne with performances in Paris and Nanterre. Miller’s work focuses on transfiguring existing melodic materials, such as Beethoven quartets and traditional folk songs, through repetition and intentional imperfection. Her compositional process involves exploring the unconscious and utilizing raw, unpolished vocal and instrumental lines.
