Musicians Juan Laborde and Mario Montore perform in Florida

Violinist Juan Laborde, the first violist of the Orquesta Juvenil del Sodre, performed a concert at the Museo de Artes Visuales Ernesto Alexandro (MAVEA) in Florida, Uruguay. Laborde, originally from Sarandí Grande, was accompanied by Italian pianist Mario Montore.

The performance followed Laborde’s recent return from Italy, where he received a three-month scholarship in Rome after winning a regional competition. During his time in Italy, he performed in a prominent Roman church and studied with Montore. The event, organized by the Intendencia de Florida, was attended by local cultural officials and members of the community, including young musicians from local symphonic training programs.
