Musicians Ángel Parra and Juan Villarreal share career insights

Chilean guitarist Ángel Parra will host a free talk titled “La guitarra rebelde de Ángel Parra” at the Teatro CA660 in Santiago on August 21. Organized by Fundación CorpArtes, the event will explore Parra's musical evolution, covering his influences in folklore, jazz, blues, and rock, as well as his tenure with the band Los Tres and the Ángel Parra Trío.

In Argentina, singer and composer Juan Villarreal recently visited Río Gallegos to discuss his career and perform with the Orquesta Escuela “ReSi”. The visit included a fundraising effort to support the maintenance of acoustic instruments and the purchase of a new bandoneón for young musicians. Villarreal also highlighted his long-standing work with the tango orchestra El Arranque and his duo with guitarist Patricio Crom.
