Musicultura opens applications for 38th edition of contemporary songwriting festival

The 38th edition of Musicultura has officially opened its registration period, which will run until November 12. The festival continues its tradition of discovering and promoting contemporary Italian songwriting through various venues, ranging from intimate theaters to large stages.

A significant update for this edition is the appointment of Dimartino, Giorgio Poi, and Francesco Sarcina (Le Vibrazioni) to the Artistic Guarantee Committee. They join a prestigious group of musical, literary, and cultural figures tasked with selecting sixteen finalists and ultimately eight winners. The committee follows in the footsteps of original signatories Fabrizio De André and Giorgio Caproni.

The competition offers substantial prizes, including a 20,000 euro award from Banca Macerata for the absolute winner, a 3,000 euro Piero Cesanelli Criticism Award, and a 2,000 euro prize for Best Lyrics.
