Musinsa expands AI trend curation to fashion and beauty categories

Musinsa has expanded its AI trend curation service to 12 different categories, including fashion and beauty. Originally launched in June for caps and baseball hats, the service now covers items such as knitwear, denim, training pants, winter outerwear, and beauty products like essences, serums, and ampoules.

Unlike traditional recommendation engines that rely on a user's past purchase history, this AI service analyzes external fashion and beauty trends to suggest products. It uses consumer-friendly terms for its filters, such as “face-slimming hats” or “the season for running,” allowing users to explore trends without manual searching.

Following the expansion, Musinsa reported that filter usage in the newly added categories increased by an average of 14%, with some seeing up to a 21% rise. The company plans to implement this AI curation across all product categories by the end of the year.
