Musinsa reports record first-half revenue of 821.7 billion won
Musinsa reported record-breaking consolidated revenue of 821.7 billion won for the first half of the year, representing a 22.5% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth was driven by the expansion of offline stores and significant momentum in global markets.
Despite the revenue surge, consolidated operating profit fell 11.2% year-on-year to 52.3 billion won. The company attributed this decline to rising costs for materials and labor, as well as increased selling and administrative expenses—such as shipping and commissions—resulting from expanded transaction volumes. Musinsa also noted proactive investments in AI talent recruitment, logistics efficiency, and international marketing.
On the global front, Musinsa's exports reached approximately 37.2 billion won in the first half, a more than ninefold increase from the previous year. The company is aggressively expanding its physical footprint, having opened 12 new stores globally in the second quarter, including locations in China. Plans are also underway for a large-scale pop-up store in Osaka, Japan, in October, with the goal of establishing permanent offline stores in Japan by 2027.
