Brunei Darussalam holds religious ceremonies for Maulidur Rasul

Brunei Darussalam has commenced religious observances for Maulidur Rasul 1448 Hijrah/2026. The celebrations include the opening of Dikir Syarafil Anam performances, which are held for 12 consecutive nights at mosques, suraus, and places of worship across the country.

A religious ceremony was held at Istana Nurul Iman, attended by high-ranking officials including the Coordinating Minister for National Security, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II, and the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office for Civil Service Governance and Security and Law. The event featured congregational prayers, Quranic recitations, and religious lectures.

Additionally, the Ministry of Finance and its departments held Dikir Syarafil Anam performances at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque to commemorate the occasion and honor the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
