Mussomeli launches security and surveillance project

The Municipality of Mussomeli has launched the ‘Mussomeli Sicura’ project to enhance urban security and territorial control through advanced technological tools. Funded by the Regional Department of Infrastructure, the initiative focuses on upgrading the local video surveillance system with new cameras and modern monitoring technologies.

A central supervision room equipped with necessary management instrumentation has already been completed. Upcoming works will focus on optimizing viewing points throughout the urban center to expand coverage. Additionally, the project will introduce photo-traps for environmental control, aimed at preventing illegal waste dumping and monitoring sensitive areas.
