Mustafa Aksu, former Deputy Minister, arrested in fund investigation
Mustafa Aksu, the former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, has been arrested as part of an investigation into a fund crisis involving Tera’s liquid fund. Aksu had previously claimed to have lost approximately 100 million TL in the investment, stating, “The issue is not 100 million, but being deceived.”
During his testimony, Aksu maintained that he was engaged in individual stock market transactions and that his investments resulted in losses without being directed by any third party. He defended the source of his wealth, noting he comes from an established industrialist family and that his financial assets are transparent.
In addition to his arrest, authorities have seized all assets belonging to Aksu and his spouse. Aksu had previously resigned from his deputy minister position between 2018 and 2021 to focus on his business interests.
