Mustafa Aslan dies following weapon accident in Pençe-Kilit zone

Infantry Specialist Sergeant Mustafa Aslan has died following a weapon accident in the Pençe-Kilit operation zone. Aslan was serving at the Sita Base Area when the incident occurred. He was airlifted to Hakkari State Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries despite medical intervention.

A funeral ceremony was held in his hometown of Gaziantep, specifically in the rural Işıklı neighborhood of the Şehitkamil district. The service was attended by local officials, including Gaziantep Governor Kemal Çeber, military commanders, and family members. Aslan was buried in the local village cemetery following prayers led by the Provincial Mufti.

National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler and Communications Director Burhanettin Duran issued condolences to the family and the nation. Reports noted that Aslan's wife, Miraç, is currently pregnant.
