Mustafa Kamal orders staff dismissals at PMZ Hospital

Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal has ordered the Executive Director of PMZ Hospital, Dr. Salman, to take strict action against non-performing employees, stating that anyone not fulfilling their duties should be dismissed immediately. During a visit to the PMZ Cardiac Center and various hospital departments, the Minister expressed frustration over the poor condition of hospital facilities, including damaged walls and inadequate maintenance.

Medical staff raised several concerns regarding the ICU, noting a shortage of beds, a lack of functional equipment, and a deficiency in fire safety tools. Doctors reported that despite previous complaints, new beds have not been provided and existing equipment is becoming obsolete.

To improve oversight, the Ministry of Health announced that Minister Kamal will spend one day every week at PMZ Hospital to directly monitor medical affairs. Additionally, the Federal Health Secretary will also be present at the hospital one day per week. To alleviate the patient load, the ministry also announced plans to establish a telemedicine center.
