MUSWEN General Assembly to convene in November

The 11th General Assembly of the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) is scheduled for November 15 at the University of Ibadan Central Mosque. Expected dignitaries include President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, and Southwest state governors. Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum is slated to deliver the annual lecture.

A primary focus of the assembly will be a leadership transition, as the current president, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, prepares to conclude his six-year term. The gathering also serves as a platform for MUSWEN to mobilize support for development initiatives, including scholarship programs, empowerment for the underprivileged, and the construction of a modern health facility. The organization has set a fundraising goal of ₦2 billion to support these projects.
