Mutares completes sale of NEM Energy to Hyundai

Munich-based investment group Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has completed the sale of its portfolio company NEM Energy B.V. to the South Korean industrial firm Hyundai Heavy Industries Power Systems Co., Ltd.

The transaction includes the subsidiary NEM Balcke-Dürr GmbH, transferring established energy technology operations to the new owner. Mutares stated that the sale follows an intensive development phase and aligns with its strategy of restructuring industrial companies before divesting them to realize value increases. The exit is intended to strengthen the company's liquidity for future investments.
