Mutares completes sale of Walor Precision Turning to Reed Capital

German private‑equity firm Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has finalized the divestment of Walor Precision Turning to independent investment house Reed Capital, which operates from Paris and London. Walor Precision Turning, a specialist supplier of high‑precision turned metal components for passive vehicle safety systems such as seat‑belt pretensioners and air‑bag inflators, was part of the Walor International group under FerrAl United.

The company runs three manufacturing sites in Legé (France), Sfântu Gheorghe (Romania) and Irapuato (Mexico), employs roughly 400 staff and generates about €55 million in annual revenue. Acquired by Mutares in 2023, Walor Precision Turning underwent a comprehensive operational and financial repositioning before the sale.

The transaction does not disclose financial terms, and Reed Capital will now own the business as it expands its presence in European and North‑American markets.
