MUTE TV releases new single Broken Drum

The Bath-based trio MUTE TV has released a new single titled ‘Broken Drum’ via Medical Grade Music. The track was recorded ‘as live’ at The Heavy’s studio, located within Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, to preserve the raw energy of the band performing together in real time.

Engineered by Chris Ellul of The Heavy and mixed by band member Joe Mountain, the song blends post-punk tension with noise-pop elements. The lyrics explore the complexities and difficulties of human relationships. The band described the recording process as an attempt to capture the specific energy generated by the three members playing simultaneously.
