Muthoot FinCorp to Raise Up to ₹4,000 crore in Planned IPO as FY26 Profit Doubles
Muthoot FinCorp announced on Saturday that its board has approved a fresh public issue to raise up to ₹4,000 crore through an initial public offering. The company also plans a parallel raise of the same amount via non‑convertible debentures and private placements, and it has a commercial paper programme with a ₹30,000 crore limit. In addition, the board approved a stock split, converting each face‑value ₹10 share into five shares of ₹2 to improve liquidity and retail participation.
The non‑bank lender reported a net profit of ₹1,640 crore for FY26, more than double the ₹787 crore earned in FY25. Its loan book expanded sharply, with standalone loan assets growing to ₹45.83 lakh crore from ₹25.75 lakh crore a year earlier, and total assets rising to ₹52.67 lakh crore. The IPO is subject to shareholder approval, market conditions and regulatory clearances, and no specific timeline was disclosed.
