Mutiny film accidentally leaked on Prime Video before theatrical release

The upcoming Jason Statham action thriller, Mutiny, was accidentally leaked on Amazon Prime Video in the United States two days before its scheduled theatrical release on August 21, 2026. The full 95-minute film was briefly available for streaming, complete with official artwork, cast details, and a synopsis, for approximately one hour before being removed from the platform.

While the leak has led to the film being shared on piracy and torrent sites, there is no evidence suggesting the incident was a deliberate marketing tactic. The film is produced by Punch Palace Productions and MadRiver Pictures and distributed by Lionsgate, none of which are owned by Amazon.

Directed by Jean-François Richet, Mutiny follows Cole Reed, an ex-special forces operative and bodyguard who is framed for the murder of a billionaire shipping tycoon. The plot involves an international conspiracy discovered aboard a cargo ship. Early critical reception has been mixed, with the film holding a 43% to 49% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
